a letter from our director

C. James White is the Founder and President of God Cares Ministries, a compassionate mission born out of his deeply personal experiences and unwavering faith. In 1998, after eight impactful years as Project Director and Principal of REACH Boarding School in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu—where he cared for and educated over 300 children from challenging backgrounds—he stepped down to answer a higher calling: to extend his care and vision beyond the school walls.

From Poverty to Purpose

Mr. White’s own childhood was marked by severe poverty, without reliable access to food, clothing, shelter, or medical care. His life began to change through the support of James Memorial High School in Prakasapuram, Tamil Nadu, under sponsorship from CCF and World Vision. These blessings not only nurtured his body and mind but also ignited in him a lifelong compassion for children and families in need.

A Life of Leadership and Service

Recognized for his extraordinary dedication, the World President of REACH International Inc. (USA) personally visited Mr. White in Karnataka to reinstate him. He later served as the President’s Personal Assistant, Public Relations Officer, and Fundraiser for more than 10 REACH India projects. Despite his success, Mr. White felt called to start something more personal—God Cares Ministries—an organization rooted in his faith, experience, and desire to bring lasting change.

Guided by Faith, Driven by Compassion

Deeply inspired by the values of the Ten Commandments, Mr. White actively engaged in numerous spiritual and humanitarian initiatives. Over the years, he has personally led efforts to provide food, clothing, medical aid, and educational support to countless underprivileged individuals and communities.

Global Engagement & Community Impact

Mr. White’s commitment to service extends beyond national borders. He has traveled to Sweden, Finland, and Iceland on charitable missions, engaging with international partners to further humanitarian causes. In addition to his global outreach, Mr. White continues to hold various responsibilities within his local community. He actively renders both moral and legal support to individuals in need, further demonstrating his deep dedication to justice, compassion, and holistic care.
